Just ACE It! After Class Enrichment Fun

Just ACE It

AC3 has always desired to make a positive impact on our community. Since COVID-19 came on the scene, we have encountered unique challenges to BE-ing the church God has called us to be. So after prayer, meeting with a few leaders in our community, staff discussions, and sharing ideas with AC3 educators and surveying parents, we are launching ACE, an After Class Enrichment program.

The plan is to provide about an hour of relief for parents and a time that students (K-12) can enjoy extracurricular and artsy type activities in a safe and small group environment. (Electives are currently limited to 5 students in each age group. Group size is kept small in order to maintain social distance guidelines. Students and instructors will be required to wear face coverings.)

ACE electives are slotted to be held on Mondays and Thursdays (late afternoon/early evening) at AC3 this fall. Classes may also be offered seasonally and will be posted at the link above.

What type of electives will be offered?

Class electives will vary depending on the passions of those who sign up to join our ACE Instructor Team! Currently on the schedule will include:

  • Robotics: 6-8th and 9-12th
  • Music and Movement: K-2nd, 3rd-5th
  • Artsy Thursdays: K-2, 3rd-5th, 6-8th
  • Rock Band: 6-8th, 9-12th
  • Internet Access Point (Loft)
  • Ceramics, painting, and cooking classes are in the works also!

How can I sign my kids up for upcoming electives? (K-12th)

As electives are scheduled, you will be able to register your children (and a friend or two) at ACE – After Class Enrichment. We’re excited about the possibilities:)

Can I chat with someone about becoming an ACE Instructor or Building Host and discuss options?

Absolutely! Check out how to Become an ACE Instructor or ACE Building Host. You can also find this information under Events on our AC3 church app! This is a great opportunity for you and a friend to participate in a “Fall service project”.

ACE – After Class Enrichment – Electives @ AC3

Do you have a child or youth-friendly after-class activity you’d be passionate about sharing? Pottery, watercolors, knitting…whatever! How about a background in dance, or guitar? Do you dig kitchen science experiments? We’re open to other possibilities too…maybe computer literacy, photography, use your imagination…

If you have the gift of hospitality, we’d love to hear from you too!

From welcoming students to teaching a class, you won’t be left alone in the ACE prep and class planning process.
