SERVICE RESUMES WITH WORSHIP CELEBRATION THEN EASTER (DATE TBD).
With the governor’s shelter in place order, we will not have our special Easter celebration until the SECOND week back to give our team time to prepare and to have a special reunion service after the meeting ban lifts. New Schedule will apply:
- Two services: Saturday night at 5:30 PM and Sunday at 10:00 AM. Full childcare will be provided at both services. Dinner will be served Saturday night.
- Tune in to our livestream for more info about the changes to our weekend format.
As we head into our new service format, Kreek Kids will be adding a brand new segment to its program called Kidz Spot! Kreek Kids will be looking for individuals or families that will help sponsor a Kidz Spot once a month. Contact Twila for details! twila@ac3.org
GIVING IS STILL IMPORTANT AND CAN BE DONE ONLINE OR WITH THE AC3 APP.
Even though we’re not meeting together in person each week, the ministries of AC3 carry on, including benevolence, teaching, groups, and the bills! Your generosity was used recently to support Marysville Food Bank and we received this note from the director:
I am so thankful for this. In two weeks the number of families seeking food assistance here has gone up 70% and continues to increase as families struggle from the consequences of the necessary virus actions. We served 250 families on Tuesday! I just placed an order for $776 in milk to get us through the next week. It feels like the best and easiest way to support us is with a check. That way we can apply it to the bulk purchases we are needing to make.
Thank you AC3!! Continue to give securely & remotely using our church app or www.ac3.org/give.
YOUTH GROUPS ARE CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE
Stay up to date with what’s happening at MORPH and RELIC, check them out on FB, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat.
SMALL GROUPS MAY MEET USING ZOOM
The Governor’s order prohibits even small groups from meeting, but if you have a regular small group ask your leader to arrange a meeting using Zoom. AC3 has purchased a Zoom account that can be accessed by all groups and teams. If you have questions about using the AC3 Zoom account email dan.xp@gmail.com
COVID 19:00 – LIVESTREAM PRAYER TIME
REMEMBER: Each day at 19:00 hours (7 PM) during the meeting ban, AC3 is calling every AC3’er to a special prayer. Watch Facebook for a livestream feed from one of our leaders leading us in prayer for our church, our city, and our world.

March 16, 2020 UPDATE
Dear AC3’er,
It seems that every 12 hours or so, the global situation changes. What was not a problem yesterday, might prove to be an insurmountable burden today. In the church we are called to share our burdens (Galatians 6:2)
Some AC3’ers find themselves in the “higher risk” demographic for COVID-19 (or for other pandemic-related reasons) find themselves already dealing with burdens too heavy to shoulder alone.
The AC3 Staff is establishing a communications network through our Care Team (and others) in an effort to address the needs that we can, or connect the burdened with additional resources.
Drop an email care@ac3.org to offer up your help (shopping, deliveries, childcare, etc.) or if you need help.

AC3 COVID-19 PLAN
AC3 Church Family,
The whole earth is gripped by concern over the COVID-19 virus and now a ban on all large group gatherings has come from Governor Jay Inslee and the Snoco Health Department. So how will we handle things?
First, we won’t respond in fear. If the world feels very unsafe right now, remember we have trusted in Christ precisely because he has made us eternally safe! If we take precautions it’s because we’re called to love our neighbor, not because we’re afraid to die. If the crisis worsens, it will call for courageous action to love others well, and only people who are unafraid will love like that.
Second, we are called to obey the governing authorities and they have sensibly banned large gatherings. Our services fall under their 250 mark, but our elders and board decided additional social distancing rules make even smaller gatherings imprudent.
So how will AC3 be the church during this season?
ALL SERVICES CANCELED
WATCH OUR LIVE STREAM SUNDAY AT 10:30 AM
- Regular services are canceled per the Snohomish County Health District directives. But we will live stream SPECIAL services at 10:30 AM Sunday mornings. Find the live stream on Facebook (Allen Creek Community Church) or at www.ac3.org/social-media
- These will be special talks (postponing our Enneagram series) introducing the new 2020 Vision for AC3. There will be special “online-only treats” each week…so don’t miss tuning in!
SERVICE RESUMES WITH EASTER CELEBRATION (DATE TBD); THEN NEW SCHEDULE
- Assuming we won’t meet again until Easter or after, our special Easter celebration will be held on that first week back, no matter the date! Following that weekend (whenever it occurs) we will begin our new service schedule:
- 2 services: Saturday Night at 5:30 PM and Sunday at 10:00 AM. Full childcare will be provided at both services. Dinner will be served Saturday night.
- Tune in to our Livestream for more info about the changes to our weekend format.
- As we head into our new service format, Kreek Kids will be adding a brand new segment to their program called Kidz Spot! Kreek Kids will be looking for individuals or families that will help sponsor a Kidz Spot once a month; Saturday or Sunday. No teaching or helper skills required! You can serve in Kidz Spot and not miss the day’s message! Contact Twila for details! twila@ac3.org
GIVING IS STILL IMPORTANT AND CAN BE DONE ONLINE OR WITH THE AC3 APP
Even though we’re not meeting together in person each week, the ministries of AC3 carry on, including benevolence, teaching, groups, and the bills! Thanks for your continued faithfulness through this trying season. Give securely & remotely using our church app or www.ac3.org/give
YOUTH GROUPS ARE CANCELED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE

SMALL GROUPS AND CLASSES CONTINUE PENDING LEADER’S DECISION
If you have a regular small group meeting of 12 or fewer people or you plan to attend a scheduled AC3 class, check with the leader. Per Sno. Co, Health, even small gatherings are banned UNLESS certain criteria are met. Some groups will choose to continue meeting under these rules, and some will not. If you have questions about small groups, email jaime@ac3.org
COVID 19:00 – PRAYER CAMPAIGN
Each day at 19:00 hours (7 PM) during the meeting ban, the elders are calling every AC3er to special prayer for our church, our city, our nation, and our world. Pray for healing, for peace, and for the opportunities, this presents us to change lives.
Thank you for your amazing dedication to being the Church. AC3, remember this time. It will be like defining moments in your living memory, 9/11, the Crash of 2008. How do you want history to remember us? Bunkered down? Or, despite restrictions, moving in mission, growing, reaching, serving?
Stay tuned to email/Facebook for updates on events and changes, the situation is obviously fluid.
Love in Christ,
Rick Thiessen, Senior Pastor
March 11, 2020 UPDATE
!Attention AC3! Live services and the all-church meeting have been canceled for this weekend. There will be a livestream Sunday morning. We will send out a more detailed notice via email and social media tomorrow when we have a more firm plan in place. If you do not receive emails, just send a message to allencreek@ac3.org to get added to the list.
After Governor Inslee announced his ban on large gatherings, the Snohomish County Health Department added mandatory conditions on gatherings smaller than 250. In order to be cognizant of all of our congregation’s needs, we made this decision. One of the orders was space of 6 feet away from other people. Nearly impossible in the auditorium, definitely impossible in Kreek Kids.
We are not doing this in fear, so much as prudence and also dutiful respect for the governing authority. We have no grounds to reject the Governor’s requirements. And it is for the protection of all.
We are praying for all of the families affected by COVID-19, and pray for the health of our entire community and the world. Stay safe, AC3! If you have any questions, please let us know.
Stay tuned for more information.
