Reimagining Seeds of Grace

Become a Seeds of Grace Re-Imagineer!

Fun, creative, challenging and impactful are just a few of the words that come to mind when I think of what it would be like to be a Disney Imagineer. Disneyland, “The Happiest Place on Earth,” didn’t just happen. It took teams of Imagineers years to plan, create, succeed, fail and then reimagine and recreate the Disney park experience into what it is today and what it will become into the future.

In 2014, Seeds of Grace was given the directive to imagine a future where compassion ministries at AC3 would be much more than just giving individuals food, financial or material things, providing temporary relief only. We started to focus on building relationships with clients and volunteers, helping them to see themselves as God sees them and that Everybody is a Somebody!

Moving clients beyond “relief” and implementing ways to help them participate in their own rehabilitation and development became a priority; 90 Days and Counting. A book that Seeds used in our 2014 reimagining process was When Helping Hurts. “Poverty alleviation is not just the giving of material things it is about taking care of the whole human being: the social, emotional, mental, physical, and spiritual aspects of the person.”

In 2020, Seeds of Grace finds itself once again in a place of being reimagined, stretched and changed with the desire to become smaller, more relational and focusing on the question, “What are the needs of the ‘least of these’ (Matthew 25:40) in our community today and how is God calling us to serve them?
