From Learners to Leaders…2019 Year End Project

Generous AC3’rs make a difference around the world!

Think WAAAAAy back to 2019. AC3 launched a year end, above & beyond giving campaign called “From Learners to Leaders” – a focus on helping students of all kinds advance toward being leaders in the Kingdom of God.

Though we did not make our ambitious goal of $20,000, the generous people of AC3 gave over $3,000! Here’s where those dollars went:

PAKISTAN

$500.00 went to support the efforts of Logos Ministries in Pakistan to be used in many efforts including getting Bibles to marginalized Christians (an abused minority in Pakistan) so that they can learn God’s word in their own language. Here’s part of a “thank you” note from the head of Logos Ministries:

I hope and pray that you would have a blessed New Year 2020. I want to take a moment to say thank you for making decision to sowing your seed of $500.00 to Logos Ministries of Islamic country Pakistan which will be the cause to spreading the gospel of Jesus Christ in Pakistan…

BRAZIL

In Mossoro, Brazil another $500.00 contributed to the completion of new classrooms at ALFA School – just in time for the start of their school year! (Southern Hemisphere, ya’ know – school starts in February)

Over 400 students will be swarming the grounds at ALFA where, in the midst of some of South America’s worst poverty, kids will be getting a world class education including English, Music, Art, Computers and the Christian faith! All focused on ALFA’s goal to train and release Christian leaders around the world!

MALAWI

In Malawi, E3 Worldwide (a ministry born at AC3) continues to operate a diverse set of programs throughout the region of Jidi and in Lilongwe. Programs include a robust sports ministry, medical clinics and support for a primary school in Gusu – an under-served village where E3 does a lot of work. E3 trains local farmers in sustainable farming practices and teaches local artisans how to operate their own businesses. $500.00 went to support educational efforts there.

MARYSVILLE

Closer to home, your giving is having an impact in Marysville schools by supporting YouthWise, a mentoring program launched this year. YouthWise Mentoring aims to bring about positive holistic change in each young person participating in their program. They do this by providing caring adult mentors who are there for them, no matter the challenge, difficult situation, or life question.

This is done through training mentors, matching them with students and building alliances with churches and other organizations to provide mentors. $500.00 has gone to establishing YouthWise in a Marysville schools this year.

ALLEN CREEK COMMUNITY CHURCH

Finally, over $1,000.00 has been set aside at AC3 to create a scholarship fund for AC3’rs who choose to pursue theological education in pursuit of vocational ministry. In other words – with your help, we’ve started setting aside some money for people who want to pursue ministry at AC3 as a living, and who are willing to invest in their own education along with us. The goal is to provide a level of support for up and coming young leaders who will one day, move from Learner to Leader!
