AC3 Quest Classes

Quest consists of three separate classes that are independent of one another, but are designed to interconnect like the stages of a rocket. The three classes are: Q101 Investigations, Q201Foundations and Q301 Applications.

Stage 1 : Q101 : Investigations

A lot of people attend Allen Creek with little or no church background. That means there are a lot of questions to be asked! INVESTIGATIONS is a 6-week group that gives you a chance to find the answers to tough questions about Christianity, like: "How do I know the Bible is true?”, “What about the dinosaurs?”, “Why does God let bad things happen to good people?”, “What about other religions?”. You’ll get real answers. Answers that can satisfy your heart AND your mind. Do YOU have some questions? Is there someone you’re thinking of right now who would benefit from having a safe place to ask those questions?

Stage 2 : Q201 : Foundations

This 10- week group picks up right where INVESTIGATIONS left off, by exploring exactly what it means to be a follower of Jesus Christ, and the A-to-Z basics of the Christian faith. Topics like prayer, the Bible, the nature of God and being part of a church are covered. Most FOUNDATIONS groups are made up of “Graduates” of a previous INVESTIGATIONS group; but people wanting a practical refresher course in the "Christian essentials” are welcome to join in as well. Stage 3 : Q301 : Applications

The final stage of the QUEST rocket guides Travelers through the “how to’s” of Christian living. APPLICATIONS is practical experience in living a fully-devoted Christian life. More than just knowledge and theory, it’s actually LIVING the life with a group of friends at your side. APPLICATIONS groups are lead by a sort of “Tour Guide” who not only lead/teach the weekly meetings, but also guides the group through the following 4 QUEST Elective classes.

Electives

You do not need to be an Applications student to attend. The Quest electives may be attended by anyone.

Mission is an overview of Allen Creek, our mission, vision, strategy and what it means to be a fully functioning member of the local church. We review God’s vision for our community and spend time imagining what it would be like to be a church that is totally sold - out to God, truly committed to one another and really caring for the world. This class is 2 hours long, includes brunch or dessert and is required for membership at AC3.

Network supports one of the most critical aspects of a Christ follower’s life: Serving. No matter who we are, God has given each of us a mission and special abilities for helping to build-up the church. Not only does Network take you on a discovery tour of those special abilities, it also helps you define areas of passion, interest, and temperament so that you can maximize your impact in the church.
Life on Purpose introduces spiritual growth habits that are key to experiencing the life that God intends for each of us. This new life doesn’t just form in us by accident, it happens on purpose as we begin new practices. this seminar will show that you don’t have to be a spiritual giant to develop the life that you (and God) have always wanted! Among the new practices discussed in one-day seminar are prayer, Bible study, community and giving.
Just Walk Across the Room will change your mind about evangelism. Pointing people to faith is something all of us can do.This seminar is practical for followers of Christ whose faith in him has changed their lives and they’d like to share that, but they don’t know how to start. Most Christians would rather not talk about faith than do so in a way that’s heavy handed, guilt inducing or embarrassing. Thankfully, it doesn’t have to be that way!
