First fruits co-op

Looking to grow a healthier lifestyle? Consider joining our First Fruits Co-op. This gardening and mission-minded group of individuals from AC3 and our local community plant, cultivate, harvest vegetables, keep bees for honey and share the harvest.

You might say, “I’ve heard of this! It’s a C.S.A. (Community Supported Agriculture)!” You’re partially right...but there’s MORE!

While Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is not a new idea, making it a 'Gospel' endeavor might be! Where a CSA simply provides its paying customers with produce, First Fruits adds a few wrinkles:

  • Most members provide the labor to grow the food themselves; co-op style.
  • A lion’s share of the harvest is contributed to Seeds of Grace for distribution days and it's Market Mentorship Project. MMP provides a seasonal market place experience for it's mentees needing a hand up in our community.

FIRST FRUITS MISSION STATEMENT: Loving God, one another and our community by producing and sharing wholesome foods in a Christ-centered community. First Fruits Co-op (video)

The Marysville Farmers Market provides big potential for growing our community. It's seasonal, it's healthy and it has the potential to bring new commerce to our community! A community market place seems like a great place to reach out and build new relationships with others in our community, outside the walls of AC3.

AC3's Market Mentorship Project, championed by Seeds of Grace, will once again participate in the Marysville Farmers Market. It's  a great seasonal partnership and helps raise community awareness for the Seeds of Grace Resource Exchange and its mission; to extend a helping hand up to those with less in our community.
