updates in the Kreek Kids area including a completed mural in
the new preschool classroom, a new preschool director and
teaching team, a LIVE video feed of our Connection dramas for
our K-5 age group AND we are incorporating a new universal
teaching BIG IDEA each week for all ages at AC3! Read on...

WELCOME ABOARD New Team Teachers
and Preschool Class Director 10:30AM
Welcome aboard Janet and Fain Randall as they have taken up the
challenge of creating a safe learning environment for our 3-5
year olds. Janet will be the departments new director and Fain
will help as they teach and reach preschool children with the
good news that Christ brings. Through creative story telling and
hands on learning activities, our kids are in good
hands!
Numbers are up in this age group so they will still need an
extra helper in their classroom each week so they won't have to
have a closed classroom.
Janet would love to hear from you if you have any questions or
would like to join her team as a once-a-month
parent partner or helper. She'll
be looking for your email!
Please
Note: If your 3 year old is not potty trained or ready for
structured preschool activities, please check your child into
the Nursery at this time. Thank you!
Time OUT for Parents
AC3’s parenting
classes are set to start this fall
Oct. 5th, running FOUR Fridays 6-9
PM.
If you would like to attend
or help ‘behind the scenes’ as a way to serve
families in our community, please contact Jenny Arlt @
425-397-6653 or parenting@ac3.org.

Tweens
(3rd-6th) Grapple Group???

There has been much
discussion about
offering a NEW way of doing a mid-week program. Should
we or shouldn't we...is it time yet?
Grapple is new and the ONLY preteen
curriculum offering a form of online community and
lesson clues for students to uncover. They also
have
a scheduled time together; weekly
or bi-weekly depending on what we decide.
If your tween is acting a little board when it comes to
Biblical learning, consider checking out Grapple with
us! It may be just what tweens need!
Contact Twila
to get in on the Grapple discussion.

Kreek Kids is
Proud to be AC3's 1st Satellite Site
Children love
multimedia and creative presentations such as skits, music and
other creative ways of learning. Using multimedia tools have become a
viable learning option, especially when it comes to teaching
school age children. So in an effort to work with our
student's learning bent and to focus on using our church's
strength (which is creative programming), we will be
broadcasting the first 20-30 minutes of our Connection
services LIVE into our upstairs classroom. During the last 1/2
hour, we will discuss what we've learned
through the skits, add a BIG IDEA wrap up and then tie it all
together by getting our kids
involved in a hands-on learning workshop based on our weekly and
monthly theme.
Consider the benefits...each week, our children watch the same skits and creative pieces that our
adults watch during Connection. Each week children and their
parents are learning basically the same BIG IDEA or concept.
Each week this opens the door to better family communication and
discussions of Biblical truths. The take home benefit of
learning together can be a BIG win for parent and child when it
comes to personal and spiritual growth. How exciting is that?
As we enter this
venture, we know there will be some challenges. Whether it's
technical issues, timing issues or deciding how to effectively
share one BIG IDEA that teaches the entire family.
There will also be weeks that the topics used in Connection, in
part or in whole, may not be appropriate for our children. On those weeks, we
will not use the LIVE feed and instead use age appropriate lessons that will complement the adult
truth being taught in Connection.
We're looking
forward to what God has in store for us. We hope you are
too!
September's
BIG
Idea:
Your
attitude should be the same as that of
Christ Jesus. (Phil
2:5)
Jesus
taught us the Beatitudes and many other things in the
Bible to help us see if our 'inner attitudes' and
thoughts are right. Sometimes the attitude God wants us
to have seems upside down. (Matt. 5:3-10)
This month
in Kreek Kids, along with the Beatitudes, we'll learn:
4Shrek
- Your inner beauty is what matters most.
4Pirates
of the
Caribbean
- Living for self is
not all it’s cracked up to be.
4Spiderman
- Making wise choices gives me Godly power.
4AC3
- God loves to bless all kinds of people.
At Home: Reinforce weekly
concept taught. Help your child learn the Beatitudes, BIG Idea
& Power Verse.
